Mickey Waffle’s’mores

Heya, I hope you are having a lovely day and thank you for paying a visit to this magical recipe!

I have been doing these waffles for over a year now, I use an Arietta Mickey Mouse waffle maker for the extra Disney magic and last week I decided to join my kids requests for s’mores and waffles into Waffle’s’mores. Here is the recipe to my vegan waffles:

Pre heat your waffle maker while you make the batter, I like to add all the dry ingredients first and follow this order:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 table spoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil or melted vegan butter
  • 1 & 1/2 cup of plain vegan milk, I use soy, oat or almond.
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Once your waffles are made, heat your oven up to 150 C, grill on if you want. On a tray make the waffle’s’mores by putting on a non stick sheet a waffle, a layer of vegan chocolate spray or a couple of thin chocolate squares, a vegan marshmallow and then a top waffle with a layer of vegan chocolate spread or thin chocolate square sandwiching the marshmallow.

Put your waffle’s’mores in the oven for about six minutes, the chocolate should have melted enough and the marshmallow gone soft but you don’t want to leave them too long and risk drying out the waffles. I found this was just fine and our kids were able to enjoy them quickly enough.

I am partial to the vego spread and Dandies big vegan marshmallows, a nice variation is doing one of the waffles with Loftus spread or Aldi biscuit spread as well.

I hope you enjoy these like we do and have a magical day!
